About Radio Boral 99.0 FM
Radio Boral 90.0 FM is Bangladesh’s 18th community radio station and the second in the Rajshahi District. SBMSS established a non-profit social entrepreneurship program to benefit Rajshahi’s rural and char communities. Radio Boral aspires to alleviate poverty, inequality, and injustice in rural communities by providing them with information. Radio Boral collaborates with community members to create and broadcast daily 14-hour programs and news on health, education, agriculture, career, sanitation, local culture and heritage, talk-shows, live events, sports, legal aid, rights and empowerment of girls and women, and disadvantaged groups such as horijon/3rd genders and ethnic minorities, PSA (Public Service Announcements) on social awareness, relevant socio-cultural and economic issues.
Radio Boral 90.0 FM is the 18th community radio in Bangladesh and the 2nd Radio Station of Rajshahi District. Established by SBMSS as a non-profitable social entrepreneurship program, it aims to uplift the rural & char community of Rajshahi. Radio Boral's mission is to eradicate poverty, discrimination, and injustice among rural populations by providing them with essential information. Operating daily from 10.00 AM to 12.00 AM, Radio Boral broadcasts 14 hours of programs and news covering various topics such as health, education, agriculture, career, sanitation, local culture and heritage, legal aid, and empowerment of marginalized groups. Through talk-shows, live events, sports coverage, and PSAs, Radio Boral actively promotes social awareness on relevant socio-cultural and economic issues.
